Snapshots of the Annual Meeting

In January of this year five of our seven board members (minus Richard Morris and Matt Elsberry) met in Suwannee, Florida for our annual board meeting.

Beccy Lanier, our prayer warrior, was elected to fill the 7th position on our board of directors.  She has been a tremendous blessing to STS and we are very pleased that she accepted the extended service role.

We reviewed the results of our first year of operations (2006) and discussed the objectives that would help us achieve God’s will for STS during 2007).

Among the plans are to serve others in each of our 4 areas of ministry:

1. Education & Training

2. Logistics

3. Accounting & Financial Integrity

4. Business Development

Foremost in our administrative plans is the selection of a full time director in Liberia.  We have identified suitable prospects and are asking God to show us His man.  Another important effort for this year is to purchase property in the Monrovia area which will become our base of operations.

Also joining us for the weekend were:

Shadrach Saywon

Carl Hadley

Ralph & Peggy Rhodes

John & Marnie Farness

Our hosts for the weekend were Bill & Betty Edwards and Fred & Cathy Edwards.

The food, fishing and fellowship were all excellent and we were so privileged to be able to spend an entire weekend together seeking God’s will for our service to Him in Liberia.

Service To Servants holds a weekly board meeting by conference call and is always anxious to hear from those who would like more information about opportunities to serve in Liberia.

Whenever you get something stuck in your teeth there’s always a photographer around to get your picture.

Thanks to the world’s best neighbors (Tom & Ann Leverette) John & Marnie got to see many alligators before heading back home.
