Meeting Notes

June 12, 2006

RM, ME & RE in attendance

 

ME – Opened the meeting with prayer.

 

RE – Spoke with David by phone a few minutes before this call and he has a conflict (a date with your wife is really not a conflict) and will not be on the call.  He pleaded that we not slack off any at all in our prayers for his family.  I assured him we would not.

 

RM – God continues to bless this work as we serve those serving the people of Liberia.

 

ME – The report from Jan Strydom, Crown’s man in South Africa, was very encouraging as he approved the November dates as well.

 

ME – Will be in transit next week with a trip to Colorado and will not be on the call.

 

RE – Looking at the timeline for the Crown project, we are on schedule having delivered to Norwood Davis, Crossroads Community Church, the various documents explaining STS and the Crown Catalytic event scheduled for November 10th and 11th of this year.  Norwood will begin to promote this event in the business community within Liberia as he is there next week exploring microfinance opportunities.

 

RM – The material that was prepared looked good and is something we can build upon.

 

RE – According to our schedule we will need a finalized version of the Case Statement by next week with printing set for two weeks later.  I feel pressed by these dates as there is much work to be done.

 

RM – Using the summaries we already have, it should be possible to finalize the information into something that will be good.

 

RE – DB and RM also suggested that we make finding someone to “own” this ministry in prayer a priority.  We have that on the schedule in front of us to remind us of it’s importance.

 

ME – Nothing is more important.

 

RM – We have a list of several people who have already been praying for STS.  Would it make sense to contact them and ask if they would begin to ask God if they are the one God is sending?

 

RE – Would it be okay if we personally spent this week asking God to show us His prayer warrior and then begin the actual asking process next Monday?

 

RM/ME – Agreed.

 

RE – The schedule shows that we will soon need to be contacting U.S. and Liberian leaders to make know the Crown timing and to achieve initial support for the effort.  We also need to make sure that there is nothing in Liberia that will conflict or lessen the attendance for the November 10-11 dates.

 

RM – We each have several names that are good prospects and now we have something written up to explain the goal of the Crown event and of STS in general.

 

ME – There are several contacts that show good promise through Crown.

 

RE – DB has the ability to create a shared database over the internet using MS – Outlook so we can begin to gather our contacts and get them to David.

 

RM – Let’s pray even more that God will lead us in this effort and that He will be glorified through it.  Also keep David and his family constantly in our prayers.

 

RM – Closed in prayer.
