RM, DB & RE in attendance

RM – Opened the meeting with prayer

DB – Discussed some initial thoughts on RE & RM’s draft informational documents. Also the non-profit and IRS 501(c)3 statuses of Service To Servants for contributors to receive beneficial tax treatment.

RE – Research is underway. Incorporation as a nonprofit in Tennessee takes 2 – 3 weeks. The IRS 501(c)3 approval process takes 3 – 6 months. However, once approved, the 501(c)3 status is retroactive to the date of incorporation. We can use Liberian Ministries as a place to receive contributions and make payments until our approval is received if necessary.

DB – For the informational document we need to include the current situation (need) in Liberia, the expected results, etc. under each of the summary’s bullet points.

RM – The summary informational document is the key for us right now. It will let us communicate to others in the U.S. that may partner with us on this and also to those we are to serve in Liberia.

DB – How can we know and convey the statistics from Liberia to the people in the U.S.

RM & DB – We need to be able to say “Why us” and “Why now” to those we develop relationships with. We need this as part of the document.

RE – Everyone still in agreement that our primary focus right now is on the completion of the summary document?

Yes.
