RM = GE = Gayla Edwards, RE = Rodney Edwards (Everyone was in attendance except Matt who is overseas on Crown business.) DB – Opened in prayer including the various issues that have dominated our individual lives this week. RE – Richard’s first attempt at a summary document explaining what STS and the Crown event are about was excellent. Mine was more about STS while Richard’s was more about the Crown event. Perhaps the two of them together will give us a start at the actual document we want to present. DB – Does Rodney have access to a printing company to prepare a professional version of the completed summary document. Suggest we have a “pocket version” and a “leave behind” version. (by the way, I was discussing this with GE after the call and she mentioned some pocket sized booklets that she had seen). DB – Has been building the network of relationships over the past
two weeks. The Salvation Army
connections look to be extensive and he has made contact with their representative
who has recently retired after 20 years in RM – Will RE put together RM’s and RE’s first attempt at the summary document for everyone to review and begin working with? RE will do a first draft of this combination by end of week. DB – Good networking is going on including some new connections with the Southern Baptists. The networking part is the most time consuming part of the work. RM – The Liberian people are very open to relationships. The various denominations are pretty open to cross denominational events (training, etc.). The Catholic Church is the least open per his experience. RE – Should we be doing anything else right now besides the summary document. DB & RM – No, concentrate on the document for now. RM – We need a time line that will help us stay focused and hold us accountable. DB – Se the November date and work backwards to set the milestones. Have this by 1st week of June. RE – Anything else? DB – How is RM’s job search going? RM – Trusting God for His timing. Oldest daughter is getting married June 24th in MI and the other children enjoy eating so a job is needed. DB – Passing out RM’s resume in |
